On being Orphaned

I know what you feel right now, i may not seem to agree in the way to treat her case but i truly believe you when you say you have been orphaned in your own world...it is a sad thing when the very person you call your own, does not seem to treat you as her own, much more is the pain if she is the very person who breathes life to you.

This perception is a given fact and this is how you look at her now. But let me tell you this. She may be the worst ever you can think of in this world, the fact remains that she is yours, the bone of your bone, the flesh of your flesh. And whether you like it or not, she is there for as long as she is there. There is a maxim that says " defeat is at work when, at the beginning, we believe that we can no longer fight the enemy...when we no longer want to pick-up the pieces and start anew..."

I have always known you as a fighter, someone who do not say enough is enough. I would like to believe you have not given up on things that truly matter---family, life, career, love, relationships---, for you, as you are, possess the key of making a good fight, of turning a heart of stone into a heart burning with so much affection and love. There is still so much to give, so much to hope for, so much to share and so much to love. There is life, there is love. Let us not lose sight of the One who never gave up on us. In times like this, let us take strength from Him who never said enough is enough...

i am alive again

i do not know how to live without you anymore

such a frightening prospect but i guess it goes with the act of surrendering

i surrender to all possibilities, that life and death has to offer

in their variations and extremes

i take everyday, every moment as it comes with you

the future is in the now

you are the reason i am alive again

with you, God breathed a new life in superficially still but deeply troubled waters

i know God works in my life because He gave you to me

only love and effort that approximates the divine could have endured my

checkered past and tattered sefl-esteem

God has been working His mighty hands in our lives all along for the past 26 years

if there is anything special about today

it is this....

once upon a time

at the break of the sirens' wail

signaling midnight in the lowly town of Bacnotan

a girl was born to highly expectant parents

it was 21 February 1971

the apple of their eyes

the solitary flower in the garden

the answer to their prayer

she grew-up

and became her parents' sole bundle of joy

a source of tremendous inspiration

a spring of new life

then two more came

to complete the cast

nevertheless she would always be

the first born

the ate to everyone

until now

she is the source of inspiration

she is the spring of new life

a true beauty personified

the light

the jewel

the gem

the soul

the love

and everything
